About the event
Students will learn about the significance of landscape painting in Ancient China, including the emphasis on nature and contemplation, and create their own landscape scroll paintings, exploring brushwork, ink washes, and composition. Students will sketch a landscape, focusing on creating depth and varying brushstrokes, and then paint their landscape using watercolor or ink washes on a long rectangular piece of paper that will be hung with a wooden magnetic frame to mimic a scroll.
