Course Overview:

This hands-on course blends art historical study with practical studio exploration. Each week, we'll delve into the artistic expressions of a specific civilization or period, exploring their cultural contexts, materials, and stylistic innovations. Drawing inspiration from the art we examine, students will engage in a variety of art-making activities, experimenting with ancient techniques and materials to bring these ancient worlds to life through their own creations.
