About the event
Wayne Thiebaud was an American painter known for his colorful works depicting commonplace objects—pies, cakes, lipsticks, paint cans, ice cream cones, pastries, and hot dogs. Thiebaud is regarded as one of the United States' most beloved and recognizable artists. Students will observe and discuss Thiebaud’s contribution to the Pop art movement and create their own pop art inspired painting of sunglasses using acrylic paints.
